for career practioners

What is Supervision?

Professional supervision is a regular, structured, and confidential process in which a career development practitioner (the supervisee) reflects on their practice with a more experienced or appropriately trained colleague (the supervisor). It supports the quality, safety and ethical standard of the practitioner's work with clients and supports the practitioner’s own wellbeing. To learn more and discover if you would like to work with me as your Supervisor please book an Introductory Conversation.

Supervision typically covers three interconnected functions:

  • Normative — Ensuring practice is safe, ethical and accountable (e.g. case discussion, risk, boundaries, professional standards).

  • Formative — Building the practitioner's skills, knowledge and confidence through reflection and feedback.

  • Restorative — Providing space to process the emotional impact of the work and sustain wellbeing.
